Wayne Rooney was absolutely brilliant player in his prime like no one has ever seen. 2nd highest epl goalscorer and 3rd highest assist leader and he could have scored even more if not for the obstacles he faced like playing out of position to a midfield role.
He is England's highest top scorer in history too.
Rooneys overhead kick is hands down the best goal in Epl ever. Imo it's also one of the best goal in football history simply because it's very hard to execute an overheadkick let alone with a curling cross, with a high jump for his size and height and for putting it in top corner with speed.
