Couple people have indicated Ruben Dias isn't travelling – I believe this is correct as per FPL Raptor's source. I am going to go Stones or Shaw, or even switch it up as I did want a nailed City defender. Gvardiol an option too but can't help but feel it's risky
@fplfran just a heads up. There are rumours going round that Ruben Dias did not travel with the Mancity Squad for the Burnley. If true I hope the info helps.

Considering Shaw in place of James? Albeit James does have the better fixtures, but I wonder if there's a higher risk of James being less attacking in the Chelsea set-up (a.i. being the full-back that helps form a back three which is quite common and something we saw in pre-season). Or are people just not keen on Shaw all-together and if so why?

Exact same 11! Tempted to go Botman over James to start but probably booking in a transfer as I’d want James from 3 (just know he’ll pick up an injury🤣). Thanks for all the content in pre season Fran, been very helpful

Thoughts on Martinelli + Maddison + 4.0 defender vs. Odegaard + Mbeumo + 4.5 defender? The earlier definitely seems like the more explosive exciting high ceiling option, and I'm really high on Maddison seeing his positioning in the preseason games + the chance he might be on all set pieces now, I'm on the latter atm similar to yourself due to it beong the safer option xMins wise + having the safety bench option but I cant decide between the two
I had a very template team but tore it up last night to get Salah in. The only thing I'm mulling is Dias vs Stones. Not sure what you will make of this but I think it leaves me with a lot of options from week to week:
Pickford, Turner
Chilwell, Gabriel, Stones, Estupinan, Baldock
Salah, Saka, Rashford, Eze, Chukwekeuka
Haaland, Wissa, J.Pedro
I feel like this is the team I will go with although I said that about my template team yesterday 😂

Hi Fran, great team, I will jinx/post mine below, but I know I won't do that well just down to my Kopite bias and general weird queasiness whenever I have selected Man U/Chelsea players in the past…when your team name is 'Obrigado Bobby' you know it might not be the most balanced!

Is Maddison a worse pick without Kane? Opinion?
Good solid team. My question is on Mbuemo for Mitoma! Isn't Mitoma a more solid pick at the same price considering Mbeumo minutes
Will be really interested in seeing how Johnstone compares with Pickford. From a FPL fixture model rating perspective, Pickford and Turner look like a great rotation.
However, from a scouting and analytical model, Johnstone is much superior. Crystal’s defense is more highly mobile and gives up less XG shots but they do it with more positioning rather than challenges. Everton is about as old school as it gets with Tark and Keane being aerial specialists. One of pickford’s greatest weaknesses is covering crosses according to the analysts and the 2 center backs focused on it help cover this part of his game. However, this creates some really static defenses. Also Pickford for Everton versus England is night and day it seems like Harry.
Will be really interesting each with 3 old school managers like Moyes, Dyche, and Roy in the league. Crystal don’t seem to be going with that 2000’s approach. Will this blast from the past lead to lots of clean sheets for Everton and West Ham or just invite more pressure? Or are the analytical models about Crystal and particularly Guehi wrong and you just need good old fashioned defensive grit? I went with Johnstone just because of more potential but we shall see!
My team:..Steele, Gabriel, Stones and Estupinan, Rashford, Saka, Bruno, Mitoma and Eze, with Haaland and Watkins up front. subs are Onana, Gvardiol, Baldock and Mubama, Cp is Haaland and Rashford as Vc. Team ratting 99%, GW rating 97% and Predicted points, 68.2. £0.5m left in bank. Not bad for my first FPL if I say so myself lol.
Thoughts on starting Ortega every game in hopes of a possible start here or there? Given GKs rarely come on for appearances my 4.5 would come on most weeks so the risk should be low
What is happening with Kane!!?😭 Will we know before deadline?
Scary-solid team you got there, I’m panicking about not having Salah (or Kane if we’d know already 😡)..
Pep brings a different formation every couple of games, or even a unique plan for singular big games. Dont trust that its a 325 or 343 with stones in midfield, go Ruben.
